7th and 8th graders: you will be assigned points for participation and focus on Monday and Tuesday, 10 points per day, based on my observations. Your presentations will be graded based on the following rubric:
Rubric for History Presentation
4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | |
Teamwork | All students were seen participating: each student had a job | The majority of the students were seen participating in some way | 1-2 people did all the work | No one did any work |
Preparation | Presentation was smooth, everyone knew their lines, it was easy to follow | Presentation was smooth with only a couple of mistakes; still easy to follow | Presentation had many mistakes and was difficult to follow | Presentation could not be followed at all due to mistakes |
Creativity | Unexpected, unique dialogue; interesting spin on the event | Something unique and unexpected , 1 or 2 times | Nothing unique, but covered all the facts | The bare minimum was covered |
Entertainment Value | “I laughed, I cried....” “Riveting” “surprise hit of 2010” “clever and quick-witted” | Interesting, held my attention | Kept me awake | “uneven”, “boring” praying for it to end |
