Socratic Seminar: What dream is your favorite to writing about?

Think for a few minutes about remembering your dreams, and see whether one or more come back to you with some vividness.  Then, simply write the dream down as completely as you can.  If you often have dreams, try to pick one that seems especially strong, or vivid, or peculiar.  Try to pick a dream that has some force in it.

If you rarely have dreams, try to remember one from your childhood.  Or write about one particular dream that recurred or recurs, over and over again.

Write about the dream as freely, naturally, and completely as you can.  Go into as much detail as possible:

·      tell everything you can about the dream

·      tell who was in the dream

·      tell whether the dream was in black and white or color

·      tell what everything looked like; make some comparisons

·      tell what feelings the people in the dream were having

Also, try to say:

·      what the dream makes you think of now, as you think back over it...what is reminds you of , or brings to mind

·      what feelings you have about the dream now, or what feelings you had when you awakened
